2. Today you will learn to ask at what specific time events take place and to understand the answers. Martin buys tickets to different events at several ticket windows (counters).
3. MALE : Good morning.
4. MARTIN: Good morning. I want to buy a train ticket to Baltimore. What time is the train?
5. MALE : There is a train at four-fifteen. There is another train at six forty-five.
6. MARTIN: I want the six forty-five train. What time does it arrive in Baltimore?
7. MALE : At eight-thirty. Here you are.
8. FEMALE: Good afternoon. May I help you?
9. MARTIN: Hello. I want to buy some tickets to the concert.
10. FEMALE: What night do you want?
11. MARTIN: Next Wednesday please.
12. FEMALE: How many tickets do you want?
13. MARTIN: I want four tickets.
14. FEMALE: I don't have tickets for Wednesday night. Do you want another night?
15. MARTIN: Do you have tickets for Thursday night?
16. FEMALE: Let me see. Yes, I have four tickets for Thursday night? Do you want them?
17. MARTIN: Where are the seats?
18. FEMALE: Look here. They are right here.
19. MARTIN: That's very good. I want those tickets. What time is the concert?
20. FEMALE: At eight o'clock.
21. MARTIN: What time does the concert finish?
22. FEMALE: At ten-fifteen. Here are your tickets.
23. MARTIN: Thanks.
24. MARTIN: Hello.
25. MALE : Hi.
26. MARTIN: I want some tickets for the ball game.
27. MALE : When?
28. MARTIN: For next week.
29. MALE : What day?
30. MARTIN: For Sunday.
31. MALE : Sunday afternoon?
32. MARTIN: Yes.
33. MALE: How many?
34. MARTIN: Three.
35. MALE: Let me see. OK. I have three tickets for Sunday afternoon. Do you want them?
36. MARTIN: Where are the seats?
37. MALE: Right here. Behind the batter. Is that OK?
38. MARTIN: Good. I want those. What time is the game on Sunday?
39. MALE: It's at twelve-thirty.
40. MARTIN: What time does the game finish?
41. MALE: I don't know. Maybe it will finish at four or four-thirty.
42. MARTIN: OK. Thanks.
43. MALE: Wait! Here are your tickets.
44. When we ask someone for a specific time, we usually begin the question in English with "What time. . ." For example "What time is the ball game?" Listen to Martin.

46. Remember, to ask questions about specific time, we say "What time." Listen to some examples.

65. MALE 2: At six-fifteen in the morning. At two forty-five in the afternoon. And ten-thirty at night. Do you want a ticket?
66. MARTIN: I don't want a ticket today.
